2011 Calendar to feature Classic Texas Motels! Seems like all of the neat old Motels are being torn down or modernized to look like National Chain Motels so I've set out to record some of the neatest older ones before they are also gone. The Majority of the Public Businesses from the 1930's to the 1960's were built my individuals and their style reflects the uniqueness of each individuals imagination. For more information or to order Calendars click here or on the individual pictures below!

NEW ARTIST CANVAS OPTION
Now you can get prints of my work printed directly on artist canvas! I now have my own printing equipment here in my studio. Most Limited Editions and Gold Signature Prints can now be printed on canvas and sizes can be changed. It costs a little more but the framed print looks more like a painting. I just started printing on canvas recently, so I don't have all the information available to order them all online yet, but all of the new prints and the calendar pages are available on canvas, so if the print you want isn't online, call us Toll Free at 1-800-243-4316 and we can take your order!. I'll get more of them available online in the future. Most Limited Editions on canvas unframed are $100 to $150 each or $255 to $350 framed. Most Gold Signature Prints are $25 to $65 unframed on canvas and $105 to $190 framed. If the print you want on canvas isn't available online, call 1-800-243-4316 or email us at art@gboutwell.com and we can give you a price on a specific print or quote you a price for a custom size!
CUSTOM SIZE PRINTS AVAILABLE
Due to having my own printing equipment here in the studio, I can make any of my prints larger and print them on paper or on canvas! Call us at 1-800-243-4316 for a quote. At this point in time, there several people that have ordered a custom size and are in possession of what is, for now, a one of a kind print...until someone else asks for the same exact size!

TREASURES OF TEXAS Was published two years ago by Limited Editions of America of Whitehouse, TN, and they will produce State Symbol Prints for all 50 States. This is the Print for Texas and I was selected to produce the Painting because of my being designated as the Official Texas State Artist for 2006. The Print features Ten of the Official State Symbols of Texas and Three that I thought were equally as important to the History of Texas; (the Cowboy, the Windmill and the Oil Well). Limited Editions of America has produced 1845 (the year Texas Entered the Union) Signed and Numbered Prints. The Limited Edition is sold FRAMED ONLY for $199 and has cut outs in the matts that feature the Title, Texas Flag, Texas Seal and both sides of the Texas Quarter. I told them that they were selling this too cheap considering the elaborate matting but due to all being Framed and Matted the same they can offer it for the low price of $199. Size is 26 1/2" x 32 1/2", Matt colors can not be changed, However I can change the Frame to Oak, Gold or Weathered Wood for an additional $50. Click here to order.

On July 25th,2006 I presented a copy of Treasures of Texas to Governor Rick Perry to be placed in the Governor's Mansion in Austin. Governor Perry is on the left and I am the other guy!

CONGRATULATIONS! MARTHA
My wife, Martha, was voted into the Daughters of the Republic of Texas last year and was recently elected Parlimentarian of the Sterling Robertson Chapter!! Her ancestor Elijah Stapp signed the Texas Declaration of Independence! As a result of her research our daughters Valerie and Kimberlee were also voted in! Since her research material shows that her ancestors settled in Colonial Williamsburg prior to the American Revolution she plans to apply to the Daughters of the Confederacy and the Daughters of the American Revolution! I guess that makes me white trash married to a blue blood!

Boutwell Original Brings Record Price at Auction!
My Original Watercolor Flying Colors was done in 1993 and I donated it to the Stamford Cowboy Reunion for their Raffle which is part of the Western Art Show and I published it as my annual Christmas Print that Fall. Charles Baker of Munday, Texas won the Painting in the Raffle and was delighted that I had chosen it for my Christmas Print. In 2004 The Cowboy Reunion used the Painting on the Cover of their Program and Mr Baker got me to sign his Program Cover. Mr Baker then had the Original and the Program cover framed together in one frame. Mr. Baker was one of the Reunion's strongest supporters and attended every year for 35 years. This year Mr. Baker's health was failing and he donated the Original to the Reunion to be Auctioned during the annual Art Show and Auction for the Benefit of the Reunion. This Painting is 9" x 12" and it brought $5000 in the Auction. I would normally sell a 9" x 12" for $650! Am I under priced or was it that Mr Baker was such a great supporter of the Reunion?
