“SATURDAY MATINEE” When I was 13, in 1956, we rode the bus to downtown Austin every Saturday to see the Matinee at the Paramount Theater. The marquee has been removed from the paramount in Austin but I found Abilene's Paramount theater and used it in this Painting. The other buildings are in Cuero, Shiner and Hico!
