“Downtown Shiner, Texas” These buildings are on the North side of the Railroad Tracks in Downtown Shiner, Texas as it might have looked in the mid fifties. I was given the names of the businesses in those days by Norma Goetz of the Shiner Chamber of Commerce. None of the Businesses shown here exist today but I had an old photograph of the Palace Cafe and I designed all of the rest of the signs to hopefully look appropriate.  - GEORGE BOUTWELL
