RILEY'S TAVERN  is located in Hunter, Texas in a building built in the mid 1800's. James Riley camped out at the Texas State Capitol and got the first Beer license issued after Prohibition ended in September of 1933 and Mr Riley ran the tavern for 58 years afterwards. Lots of well known Texas Talent has played at Riley's. Hunter, Texas is Between San Marcos and New Braunfels less than a mile west of IH 35 exit 196..
