“CONOCO TOWER STATION" This painting will be published on my 2007 Texas Classic Gas Stations Calendar. The Conoco Tower Station and U Drop Inn Cafe were built in 1936 in Shamrock, Texas at the Intersection of US Hwy 83 and Historic  Route 66. This was the First Building in Shamrock to be built on Route 66 and it was considered to be the finest building between Oklahoma City and Amarillo! It currently houses a Museum and the Shamrock Chamber of Commerce.  - GEORGE BOUTWELL
