"PINK EVENING PRIMROSE AND WINE CUP" Pink Evening Primrose (Oenothera speciosa, Evening Primrose family) blooms in great profusion in East and Central Texas from March to July and is also called Mexican Primrose, Showy Primrose and Amapola. Wine Cup (Callirhoe digitata, Mallow family) bloom in most parts of Texas except the far west from April to late June and is also called Poppy Mallow and is related to Cotton and Okra.
